{"id":100,"date":"2010-12-16T11:15:18","date_gmt":"2010-12-16T19:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/seanism.com\/blog\/?p=100"},"modified":"2011-04-08T23:27:48","modified_gmt":"2011-04-09T06:27:48","slug":"speed-up-outlook-2007","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seanism.com\/blog\/2010\/12\/speed-up-outlook-2007\/","title":{"rendered":"Speed up Outlook 2007"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If Outlook 2007 has been running slower then usual you can try disabling Add-ins that are not being used.<\/p>\n<p>To do this Open up the Trust Center by navigating to <strong>Tools<\/strong> \u2013&gt; <strong>Trust Center<\/strong> on the menu.<\/p>\n<p>On the left-hand pane, choose Add-ins, and then near the bottom of the window you\u2019ll see a button that will let you manage your COM Add-ins.<\/p>\n<p>From this window you can disable any addins that aren&#8217;t in use. \u00a0 Here are some I&#8217;ve disabled&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging &#8211; Disable this if you aren&#8217;t using Exchange.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Colleague Import Add-in &#8211; Disable this if you aren&#8217;t using Sharepoint.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Outlook Mobile Service &#8211; Disable this if you are not sending text \u00a0messages from Outlook.<\/li>\n<li>iTunes Outlook AddIn &#8211; Disable this if you are not syncing your calendar or contacts with an iTunes device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If Outlook 2007 has been running slower then usual you can try disabling Add-ins that are not being used.
