You might of been expecting my video and flash downloads. I am converting this site into a personal site of mine rather then an everything / nothing site. If you are trying to find some of the files that were on my site you might want to check out milkandcookies , ebaumsworld , or enwhore.
Freaking SBC...
I did online support with SBC for a client of mine because her SBC email wasn't working. I swear I was ready to kill someone afterwards...

Alicia Brooks: Okay.
Sean Young: I believe I have survived the gauntlet and gotten to a real person
Sean Young: there is a maze of options and most of them lead to DSL help.
Alicia Brooks: Please elaborate your last sentence.
Sean Young: how do I get to email stuff not DSL?
Alicia Brooks: You will get a option to select Technical support.
Sean Young: Thank you Alicia. Is there a certain key I press or something to speak to a certain tier?
Alicia Brooks: Okay, you can contact our Voice support at 1-877-722-3755.
Sean Young: is there any way I can talk to a higher tier of support?
Sean Young: what do you mean?
Alicia Brooks: Have you configured only one account in your Outlook?
Sean Young: its all correct
Sean Young: smtp. same as above
Sean Young: pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com
Alicia Brooks: Okay, please verify the POP and SMTP address which you have provided in Outlook.
Sean Young: sorry please excuse that message
Sean Young: othing
Sean Young: its on RECIEVING
Sean Young: whenever I press SEND / RECIEVE it gives me that error. SENDING works fine.
Alicia Brooks: Sean, are you getting this error message while sending the mail or you have just ?
Sean Young: I tried disabling any kind of email scanning and or internet security
Sean Young: on my computer but on hers norton internet security 2006
Sean Young: none
Alicia Brooks: Please let me know the Anti-virus/Firewall you are using.
Sean Young: outlook 2003 and I've also tested it on Outlook 2007
Alicia Brooks: Which E-mail program are you using, is it Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express (if you are using Microsoft Outlook, let me know its version as well)?
Sean Young: "Task 'pop.mail.yahoo.com - Receiving' reported error (0x80042110) : 'Your
POP3 server is providing inconsistent information. The number of messages
returned by the STAT command does not match the number of items returned by
the UIDL or LIST commands. Contact your POP3 or Internet service provider.'"
Alicia Brooks: Is there any test error message as well?
Sean Young: Sean Young: error 0x80042110
Sean Young: i told it to you earlier
Alicia Brooks: Okay, please let me know the exact error message you are getting in order to investigate the issue properly.
Sean Young: yes it was on a FRESH install of outlook where there was NOTHING in any of the boxes
Alicia Brooks: Have you cleared the Outbox also?
Sean Young: with a clean inbox
Sean Young: I still had the error message
Sean Young: I am not I told you I tried it on another computer and under a different profile
Alicia Brooks: Okay, please delete them all, and send a new test E-mail to your self and let me know if you are able to receive it or not.
Sean Young: yes there are some
Alicia Brooks: Okay, do you have any mails in your outbox?
Sean Young: when it trys to sync ( send / recieve ) with the server
Sean Young: I did some research on the message and the most likely problem is a corrupt email message on the server which is causing the error.
Alicia Brooks: When exactly you are getting this error message?
Sean Young: yes its configured correctly. It was setup previously and worked fine. I also tried it another computer with the same results.
Alicia Brooks: Have you configured your account in Outlook?
Sean Young: I created a different profile on outlook and we still had the problem.
Alicia Brooks: I share your concern and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
Sean Young: error 0x80042110
Sean Young: She has an email account with you guys and when she tries to sync it with outlook she gets an error
Sean Young: well I speaking on behalf of **********

Did someone figure out a solution? I am having the same problem. Yahoo help is of little use and their customer support makes it hard to contact them. Thanks

did you ever figure out the problem? I'm having the same problem and still unable to get a response from tech support - they keep telling me it not them, bs, it's problem on their server not my outlook which worked fine up until Tuesday night

holy shit man. I hate support people. they ask the same generic questions even if you tell them you've already tried all the basics.
